Breakthrough Health was started in 2004 with the goal of guiding people to get healthy, drop weight and feel amazing without dieting and without trashing their bodies with long workouts.  Over the last 18 years we have achieved that mission by focusing on one member at a time.

Here is Jonathan’s full Bio:

 

Jonathan Roche is an Award-Winning Fitness Expert, Bestselling Author, 27-time Boston Marathon Finisher (running 26 straight to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute) and 12-time Ironman Triathlon Finisher.  He is also the Founder and CEO of Breakthrough Health and he holds two patents on Personalized Interval Training.

In 1995 Jonathan weighed 224 pounds and was wearing size 38 pants when his Dad (who was obese) died of Cardiac Arrest.  Jonathan dropped 44 pounds over the year after losing his Dad and has kept it off for 26 years. 

 

He has seen first-hand how health problems can negatively impact families and is therefore very passionate about helping people lose weight and keep it off while improving their health. 

 

Jonathan witnessed his Mom (who passed away from lung cancer at age 49 - when Jonathan was 12) and his Dad (he passed away at age 62) as they struggled with their weight and health and were fooled into trying quick fix products and fad diets.  Jonathan launched Breakthrough Health to create the safe, research-based and sustainable program that he believes his parents could have used to live long and healthy lives and meet and enjoy their eventual eleven grandchildren.

Jonathan’s first book (“The No Excuses Diet”, which is an anti-diet book) hit #3 on the Amazon Best Seller List and was featured on The Today Show.  His second book titled “12 Key Habits to Thrive” will be released on 5/23/22, his third book titled "12 Key Habits to Beat Diabetes" will be released on 11/14/22 and the next three books in the "12 Key Habits" series will be released in 2023.
